The Life Sciences are one of the most dynamic fields of
innovation with manifold applications of latest Biosciences
results - from pharmaceutical industry, agriculture
and food industry to chemical industry.
With this in mind, Bayern Innovativ conceives the international
Congress "Forum Life Science 2007" at the Technische Universität
München in Garching.
The Bavarian State Minister for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure,
Transport and Technology, Erwin Huber will give the opening
speech.
More than 65 speakers from 11 countries (Europe, USA, India,
Australia) present latest Biotechnology for innovative
pharmaceutical products and Personalized Medicine, the
development of health enhancing food and industrial manufacturing
of chemical products.
Already more than 600 attendees from 15 countries have signed up
for the Forum Life Science amongst others from pharmaceutical
companies such as Baxter, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Fresenius,
GSK, Merck, Roche, Sandoz, Sanofi-Aventis, from companies of the
food industry like Danisco, Döhler, Dr. Oetker, Kraft Foods,
Nestlé, Südzucker, Symrise, and from companies of the chemical
industry such as BASF, Degussa, DSM, Süd-Chemie, Valio, Wacker,
from Biotech companies e.g. BRAIN, Geneart, GPC, Ingenza,
MediGene, MorphoSys, ReNeuron, Scil, U3 Pharma as well as from
universities and research institutes e.g. Berlin, Erlangen,
Heidelberg, Hohenheim, München, Regensburg, Würzburg, Leiden,
Lund, Wageningen, Boston and Sydney.
The accompanying exhibition with 100 companies and institutes is
already fully booked.
The Evening Reception at the Munich Residenz on 14 February forms
an attractive meeting point.
On 12-13 February, the first Workshop and Partnering Event within
the transatlantic EU project TransBio will take place with the
objective to gain market access to North America (partners are
amongst others Massachusetts and Quebec; Bayern Innovativ GmbH is
the German partner).
On 13 February, the Forum MedTech Pharma e.V. organises the
international One-on-One MedTech - Pharma - Biotech with 150
participants.
On 15 February, Information Workshops on the 7. EU Framework
Programme and on the topic Market Access Asia-Pacific as well as
the Job Day of the vdbiol e.V. will take place.
